The
name has changed.
The tradition continues. |
|
The tradition
started on September 26, 1978. On that date 138 golfers, 24 tennis
players, and 8 bocce players gathered at The Farms Country Club
in Wallingford, Connecticut, for the first ever Bozzuto's Sports
Charity Classic. The event was the result of the commitment of
one man, Adam J. Bozzuto, the founder, chairman and CEO of Bozzuto's
Inc. It was his dream to create an annual event of recreation
and camaraderie that would also help raise money for those in
need.
The
dream came true. Today the event, renamed the Adam J. Bozzuto
Memorial Charity Classic in honor of Adam, is regarded by many
as the gold standard for industry fundraising events.
Come experience
the tradition. Enjoy a day of golf and good company on some of
central Connecticut's finest golf courses, followed by an exquisite
dinner at the Aqua Turf Country Club featuring numerous raffles,
door prizes and giveaways. You'll discover there's no better way
to spend a day.
This year's
event takes place on Monday, September 17, 2007, and includes
golf at Southington Country Club, The Farms Country Club and The
Country Club of Waterbury. As with our past events, every dollar
raised by the event is donated to charity
